Leondios Villas is a family-run villa rental company rooted deeply in the history and traditions of Kefalonia.

Our story begins generations ago in the village of Kornellos, above Old Skala, where our grandfather lived and worked. Like many Kefalonian families of his time, he was a producer and trader, running a small general store that served the surrounding community. From his land he produced olive oil, grapes, raisins, and wine, which he sold and bartered with the inhabitants of Old Skala—long before tourism shaped the island we know today.

Our grandfather was affectionately known by his family nickname, Leondios. In Kefalonia, every family carries a nickname, passed down through generations, reflecting character, reputation, and local identity. It felt only natural to name our company after him, as a tribute to his hard work, integrity, and deep connection to the land.

That same sense of family continues today in the naming of our three villas. Two are named after our daughters, Demetra and Zoe, symbols of new generations and the future of our family. The third villa is named in honor of our grandmother, paying tribute to the strength, care, and traditions passed down through the women of our family. Together, the villa names reflect the past, present, and future of Leondios Villas.

Today, Leondios Villas continues a legacy of genuine hospitality, personal service, and respect for tradition. While much has changed since those early days, our values remain the same: offering a warm welcome, honest care, and an authentic Kefalonian experience. Each villa reflects our family’s love for the island and our desire to share its beauty, culture, and calm with our guests.

The company is owned and run by Anastasios, the grandson of Leondios, together with his wife Lori Simotas. As a family, we are closely involved in every aspect of the business, ensuring our guests receive a warm welcome, reliable service, and genuine local care throughout their stay.

Supporting us is Katerina, our Company Manager and a Skala local, whose knowledge of the area and attention to detail help ensure each holiday runs smoothly. Her local insight is invaluable in helping our guests experience the best of Kefalonia, from nearby beaches and restaurants to hidden local favorites.
